Portugal cinemas to host ‘Diapason’

Iranian flick ‘Diapason’ is being screened at Portuguese cinemas.

Directed by Hamed Tehrani, the film is appearing on the silver screens in Portugal after winning three awards at the Avanca Film Festival in the country.

‘Diapason’ was well received by the audiences and critics at the 24th edition of the festival.

The screening process, which started on December 2020, will continue until March.

The Filmógrafo - Cinema e Audiovisuais film company has bought the distribution right of the flick.

‘Diapason’, is about a 50-year-old single working mom named Ra’ana who is living happily with her daughter Hoda until Hoda meets a sudden death in an accident.

‘Diapason’ is a social drama with the starring lead role of ‘Breath’ star Zhale Sameti.

Also included in the cast list of the film are Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Alireza Ostadi, Mehdi Hosseininia, Masoumeh Rahmani, Babak Nouri, Shadi Ganji, Mahsa Akbari, Sara Sarabi and Yekta Tabibi.
